Direct Deposit


Conveniently deposit your entire paycheck or just a portion of your paycheck into your credit union account. As an added convenience, once the funds are deposited we can automatically make transfers to your regular shares, club accounts, or even make loan payments.



Reorder Checks


You can order your checks directly through the Check Printing Solution’s website. Use this convenient, secure check ordering method to save time!

For security reasons, Check Printing Solutions has restricted this service to orders that do not have any name or address changes. If you do have name or address changes, simply contact us at (585) 567-4103 for information on how to make those changes to your account.

Share (Savings) Accounts


Regular savings accounts may be started with as little as $5.00. This is the initial account you open to become a member. Regular savings accounts begin earning interest at $200.00 and require a $5.00 balance.



Club Accounts

We offer Christmas, Summer, and January club accounts. Each club earns the same interest as a regular share account and there is no penalty for early withdrawal. Club accounts begin earning interest at $50.00 and require no minimum balance.



Youth Account

Youth accounts are a great way to help young people learn to manage money and introduce them to the many benefits of credit union membership. Youth accounts are for members age 18 and under. Youth accounts begin earning interest at $20.00 and require no minimum balance.



Education Account

An Education account will allow you to save for your child's (or your own) college expenses a little at a time. Education accounts begin earning interest at $200.00 and require no minimum balance.

Free Annual Credit Report

Relax! Holiday Skip-A-Pay is here!

Allegany First wants to help alleviate your financial stress this holiday season by offering a Holiday Skip-a-Pay program. You now have the opportunity to skip your December and/or January payment on any qualified loan.

Details:

  • Eligible months you can skip: December and/or January (Summer Skip-a-Pay will be available in 2019. Skip loan payments in July and/or August)
  • You can skip a payment once every 12 months, up to a maximum of 3 times during the term of your loan.
  • If you have more than one loan, you may request to skip-a-pay on each loan.
  • A processing fee of $10 will be charged for each loan you request to skip.
  • All loans must be current and have at least six months of on-time payments.
  • Interest and insurance premiums will continue to accrue during the skip period which will result in the term of the loan be extended.

Frequently Asked Questions


What is Mobile Deposit?

This is a feature in the Allegany First app that allows members to deposit checks to their savings or checking account remotely by taking a photo of their check via their mobile device.


How should I endorse my check?

Before taking a photo of your check, it MUST be endorsed “For Mobile Deposit Only” and signed by all payees.


Is there a cut-off time for deposits?

Deposit cut-off times are 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Checks that are received before the cutoff times will be credited to the member’s account the same day. If you submit after 3:00 p.m., or on a non-business day or holiday, your deposit will be processed and credited the next business day.


How do I access Mobile Deposit?

Make sure you have the most recent version of our mobile banking app (2.1). Once logged in to the app simply follow these steps:

  1. On the bottom menu bar select “Mobile Deposit”
  2. Enter the amount of the check
  3. Select the checking or savings account you would like to deposit the check to
  4. Capture a photo of the front and back of the check
  5. Once you have captured a clear image, select “Next”
  6. Review the information displayed, select “Submit”

How do I know if my deposit was accepted?

You will receive a confirmation message for each successful deposit. If there is a problem with your deposit, you will be notified by telephone and/or mail.


Are there deposit limits?

Yes, deposit limits are set as follows and are subject to review and may change at any time:

  • Maximum per check limit amount: $5,000.
  • Maximum daily deposit limit amount: $5,000.
  • You can deposit a maximum of 10 checks daily up to your daily deposit limit of $5,000. However, you can only deposit one check at a time.

What type of checks are eligible for Mobile Deposit?

Checks payable to the primary and/or joint member only in U.S. dollars and from U.S. financial institutions including, but not limited to:

  • Personal Checks
  • Payroll Checks
  • U.S. Treasury Checks

What type of checks are NOT eligible for Mobile Deposit?

  • Checks without the “For Mobile Deposit Only” endorsement
  • Third party checks
  • Checks older than 6 months
  • Postdated checks
  • Checks drawn on financial institutions outside of the U.S.
  • Checks that are not payable in U.S. currency
  • Savings bonds and travelers checks
  • Altered checks

How long should I keep the original check?

You should securely store original checks for a 30 day period. The original check should be marked “VOID” after verification that it has been correctly credited to your account. Please note that you are solely responsible and liable for the security and storage of the original checks. Upon the expiration of the 30 day period, you should destroy/shred any items deposited via mobile deposit.


What devices support mobile deposit?

Mobile deposit is supported by Apple and Android devices with an operable camera.
